Wendy to do the double this weekend.

This weekend marks a return to the TBARA series for Wendy as she does the double of Orlando Speed World on Friday night and New Smyrna Speedway on Saturday night. After the wreck at Dillon Motor Speedway, the team has been hard at work getting the car ready for the long hot summer of racing in Florida.

"Orlando and New Smyrna represent two totally different types of race tracks on back to back nights, so it's quite a challenge," said Wendy. "At Orlando, you have to really be set up to get good forward bite out of the turns and you definitely don't want to get off the bottom if you can avoid it. We had to get our Ohlin shocks rebuilt and they're coming this week, and I love those shocks, so if we can get them hooked up we should have a strong run Friday night."

The high banks of New Smyrna represent a whole different challenge. "New Smyrna is one of the fastest tracks we visit, no doubt about it," continued Wendy. "And unfortunately I've visited the local hospital, compliments of the wall at New Smyrna. But as always, my Bell Safety Equipment does what it's supposed to do and I always walk away fine. Our last visit to New Smyrna didn't go very well, but I'd like to think New Smyrna owes me one, so hopefully those Ohlins will help the car feel better this time around and we can get a good strong result and finish the weekend on a high note."

As always, feel free to stop by the hauler after the race and say hi and we'll have Wendy Gear with us as well.

Race on!
